OUR STORY

John Leigh 1937-2017

A talented and distinguished architect John made an indelible mark on the landscape of Barbados in the 1960’s and 70’s.

Fresh from Bristol Architect College, he moved to Barbados with his young family and started work with Robertson Wards Associates at  Welches Estate.

Among his notable achievements are the timeless designs of Cobblers Cove, the idyllic Sandpiper and Treasure Beach.

During his time in the West Indies John was inspired to craft and design these detailed maps of both Barbados and Jamaica.

Carefully preserved by his daughter Becky who is now sharing them for all to enjoy for decades to come!

Becky Leigh

Becky currently lives in the UK but with a special connection to Barbados, a place she called home during her childhood.

"I am absolutely thrilled to bring my Dad's artwork to life after so many years.

I now share my love of Barbados with my daughter Lucy and we are both so happy to see my Dad's legacy is still as strong as it was all those years ago.

We hope that you will find as much joy in these unique maps as we do!"
